"Turning 18 traditionally means becoming an adult, and Cinco Ranch has certainly grown up and blossomed since it opened in 1991," said Heather Gould, marketing director for Newland Communities. "Cinco Ranch has become a mature community with onsite amenities such as the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch shopping and entertainment complex, 11 Katy I.S.D. schools, a University of Houston campus, and The Lake House community center."
Ranked as Houston's number one community for new-home sales by Metrostudy, Cinco Ranch posted a six percent increase in sales in 2008, with 779 new homes sold. Cinco Ranch is currently home to 10,000 families, with another 5,000 households planned in a 2,400-acre phase of development opened last year.
"The track record that Cinco Ranch has established, now stretching to 18 years, has definitely been cited as a plus by home buyers and Realtors, and the new phase promises more years of growth for Cinco Ranch, now a 7,600-acre community," Gould said.
A great starting point for any visit to Cinco Ranch, Simply Cinco is a new kind of information center designed to host special events and to introduce visitors to the lifestyle offered by the community. Simply Cinco is located between Starbuck's and Panera Bread in LaCenterra, which is at Cinco Ranch Blvd. and Grand Parkway. Cinco Ranch High School is just across the street.
To reach the new phase, visitors drive west down Cinco Ranch Blvd., from Grand Parkway, and turn left on Spring Green Blvd. Just after turning, they will see The Lake House, a 6,000-square-foot community center which is the focal point of a new 70-acre recreation complex located along the shore of Spring Lake, a meandering 37-acre lake. Other highlights of this environmentally friendly complex include a water park, playgrounds, open park space and greenbelt trails.
Just ahead on Spring Green Blvd., on the right, visitors will reach the Cinco Ranch Model Home Village, showcasing 31 decorated models by 13 home builders. A little ahead, on the left, a new model home park offers eight additional models, showcasing a new price range from the $160,000s for Cinco Ranch.
Other Cinco Ranch amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course and miles of greenbelt trails, including a heavily wooded segment of trail winding along a fork of Buffalo Bayou, and called the Bayou Trail.
